Meet Maroun Sarkis!

Maroun Sarkis is a Junior Sales Officer for the MENA region at Sucafina Instant. Based in Lebanon, he has been with Sucafina for two years. In this Q&A, Maroun shared his insights on his role.

What does your role as a Junior Sales Officer at Sucafina Instant involve?

My role at Sucafina Instant focuses on building meaningful connections and driving our success. I collaborate closely with customers to understand their exact coffee needs, provide insights into instant coffee, and customize the perfect instant coffee solutions for them. This approach ensures positive outcomes for all stakeholders.

What do you find most exciting about your work?

The opportunity to connect with people. In sales, every interaction is a chance to build relationships, understand different perspectives, and offer valuable insights. Whether it's exploring new markets, discovering innovative ways to reach customers, or overcoming challenges to create mutually beneficial business, the dynamic nature of sales keeps me engaged and motivated. Additionally, seeing the direct impact of my efforts in driving business growth and contributing to the success of the company is incredibly rewarding.

 What are your clients' common challenges and needs when sourcing instant coffee? 

In the dynamic coffee industry, meeting client expectations involves addressing several critical factors. Clients prioritize consistent flavor, aroma, and texture to maintain high quality standards and appeal to their target markets. 

Finding a balance between quality and affordability is crucial for clients aiming to optimize their budgets while staying competitive. Clients also require a reliable supply chain to ensure consistent availability, navigating challenges such as raw material sourcing and logistics. 

Additionally, clients seek packaging solutions that preserve freshness, extend shelf life, and align with environmental sustainability goals. Keeping pace with market trends and evolving consumer preferences is essential, with clients looking for innovative products that meet changing demands. 

Successfully addressing these challenges requires collaborative efforts between clients and suppliers to tailor solutions that align with business goals and deliver exceptional value to customers.

What tailored solutions does Sucafina Instant provide to meet clients' need? 

During times of rising coffee prices and disruption in shipping routes caused by the closure of the Red Sea, we ensured that none of our clients went without their coffee. Thanks to well-stocked coffee reserves stored in warehouses and our strong relationships with shipping companies, we were able to anticipate potential issues and take proactive measures to keep the coffee flowing.

When challenges arose, we swiftly adapted our approach. Whether it involved finding alternative shipping routes, exploring different transportation methods, or optimizing our inventory management, we remained flexible and acted promptly to address the evolving situation. Our top priority is always to maintain customer satisfaction, ensuring that both existing and new clients received the coffee they need when they need it..

During times of uncertainty, our readiness to act and our ability to adapt quickly became our trademark. By staying ahead of the curve and continuously seeking innovative solutions, we demonstrated our commitment to meeting our clients' coffee needs, no matter the external circumstances.

How important are sustainability and responsible sourcing in your clients' instant coffee choices? What initiatives does Sucafina Instant offer to support these needs?

At Sucafina Instant , sustainability and responsible sourcing are important in our instant coffee selection. We collaborate with certified manufacturers and champion initiatives supporting 15 out of 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through partnerships with sustainable suppliers, we provide an unrivalled range of sustainable options.

Additionally, our commitment extends beyond certifications to tangible efforts like the farmer connect platform. This initiative utilizes blockchain technology to trace our coffee's origin, fostering transparency and forging connections between consumers and coffee farmers. By investing in farmers' livelihoods and empowering local communities, we aim not only to meet but also to exceed our clients' expectations – and create opportunities to improve lives.
